Frank regularly cleans up two very challenging blocks and reimagines a better way of making our cities cleaner and happier.

November 2018

Receives 501(c) (3) letter confirming non profit status for AdoptOneBlock

End of 2019 - Early 2020

Frank fails and then fails a second and third time to develop the technology solution that would enable a new approach to community engagement he had originally envisioned.

1000th Block Ambassadors signed up.

February 2021

2000th Block Ambassador signed up.

April 2021

Steve Duin of the Oregonian featured AdoptOneBlock in his article "Take Ownership of the block you love"

Featured "Solution" on the "HeyDan" segment of KGW news.

3000th Block Ambassador signed up

May 2021

Version 2 of the website launched giving Block Ambassadors the ability to claim and care for a second block.

June 2021

4000th Block Ambassador signed up.

August 2021

5000th Block Adopted.

The third version of the website and mapping application launched with Oregon's first-ever Community Cleanup Calendar freely available to all. Also made our heat map of block adoptions( our most requested visual) freely available to all and easily accessible on our landing page.
