Our Traditions

The only requirement from AdoptOneBlock is the commitment to clean up your adopted block(s) on a consistent basis on your own schedule.

1. All Block Ambassadors have one primary purpose: to be of service to our community by cleaning up our world one block at a time.

2. Our leaders and Block Ambassadors are stewards who are passionate about our community. We are volunteers with no salaries or benefits paid to founders or board members. We do pay our Operations Manager, contractors for technology development, website development, supply chain assistance, social media support, and all of the things necessary to keep us legally and financially sound.

3. AdoptOneBlock is non-political and will have no comment on outside issues. Hence, the AdoptOneBlock name should never be pulled into public controversy.

4. Our public relations policy is based on the attraction and promotion of AdoptOneBlock as an organization to support our mission of making our world cleaner one block at a time.

5. We believe in making it as easy as possible to volunteer so all of us have an equal opportunity to serve our community.

6. We believe while there are many important issues in our world, a clean block is important and it stands on its own.
